Microsoft seeking staff for next-gen Xbox

It makes sense that news of the impending Microsoft next generation console effort would be broken via social media of all places, but I’d have hoped for a more dramatic outing process. Instead we get three job ads Microsoft has placed on LinkedIn for a swashbuckling Graphics Hardware Architect, a bounty hunting Senior Architect and Performance Engineer for the Xbox Console Architecture Group and a crocodile wrestling Senior Hardware Design Verification Engineer. I honestly tried, but they still sound as exciting as a box of Scrabble.

So if you’re into full moons, long walks on the beach, “architecture analysis, key technology selection, architecture specification, communication and collaboration”, or alternatively “product definition from early evaluation all the way through high volume manufacturing” and let’s not forget “design verification and qualification of the Xbox console at the component, motherboard, and system levels”, just the typing of which makes me all tingly, then drop Microsoft a line.
