30 Percent of the TV Users in the World Predicted to Switch to Smart Television at The End of 2011

One Model of Smart Television by LG
As per reports, 30 per cent of the world television users will turn to smart HDTVs by the end of 2011. So what makes the new breed of TV sets smart? Actually, a lot of things. They have picked up lot of new capabilities, like internet support, that has helped it graduate to a smarter entertaintment level. People can now view their favourite channels and browse other content or applications on the TV simultaneously. Many TVs will come with in-built Wi-Fi and connect to the home wireless network-this will give you access to a wide range of audio and video content on the web. Wether it's watching funny videos on youtube or just browsing pictures on Flickr, what you want to see on the WWW is juat a push of a button away.

Apps have also found their way on to TV screens. LG recently announced 150 applications for its television and more are on their way. Similiar steps from Sony and Samsung are expected too. TV addicts can do all this without dectracting from the basic purpose of the television-providing viewing pleasure to people. Content can be streamed from the home PC or laptop as well. But that's not all. These TV sets are accompanied by smart motion-sensing remotes that improve navigation and typing. For the not-so-tech-friendly in the house, the regular remote also comes in the box.
