Transmuting the Human Mundane Actions into Energy

Boffins have put humans in the crucible to see if their mundane actions can be transmuted into energy. There have been attempts to harness the locomotion of morning joggers to recharge batteries. Japan’s NTT and Sanyo had developed shoes that generated electricity as the wearer walked. But these efforts produced minuscule amounts of electricity. Now Chinese engineers have developed a “human electric” hybrid vehicle. The vehicle uses both electricity and the power generated by users who charge its battery by pedaling as they drive. The vehicles, developed at Shanghai’s Jiao Tong University, can carry two people and some luggage
